Sidney’s Rooftop Open – Featuring The Hot Buttered Nuggets

Donned in 1920s-style attire.The Hot Buttered Nuggets, are indeed a one-of-a-kind musical ensemble.

Everyone is amazed when we host the Hot Buttered Nuggets! You can hear them playing 1920s jazz, swing, New Orleans blues and vintage 40s Americana. Those horn melodies you hear!? They emanate from a single individual, Doug Everton. He skillfully recreates every horn sound using only his mouth, and his talents extend beyond that to include drums, banjos, and even spot-on celebrity impersonations, such as those of Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Elvis Presley.

Besides Everton singing and playing guitar and banjo and doing horn impersonations, they also utilize unique instruments like plucking away at a cotton or nylon cord attached to an antique metal washtub and a wooden closet rod, to a washboard to bells and metal pipes. This is one unique performance you won’t want to miss!

Sidney’s sculpture garden and reception area is now open to the public on Wednesday nights from 6 p.m. till 11pm and Friday nights from 6 p.m. till midnight. And 2nd Thursdays for Latin Party Night from 8pm-11:30pm.
