Naples just got a little healthier. On October 10, 2025, the all‑day café Pura Vida Miami celebrated the grand opening of its latest location right in the heart of Mercato.
A Space That Feels Like a Breather
Stepping into Pura Vida at Mercato is like walking into a light-drenched coastal retreat. The design echoes the brand’s Miami roots- airy whites, natural textures, and lots of greenery weave throughout the space.
The new Naples outpost occupies roughly 3,800 square feet, in the same suite (9118 Strada Place, Suite 8170) that over the years housed pizzerias like Zza Baby, Naples Flatbread, and Piola.
Large windows and open sightlines invite in natural light, and there’s an intentional blend of casual seating, for chats or co-working, and social corners for catch-ups or reading. It feels both elevated and approachable.
What’s on the Menu: Healthy, Colorful & Custom
If you already love Pura Vida’s Miami offerings, you’ll feel right at home here. Their Naples menu stays true to the brand ethos: wholesome, ingredient-forward, and inclusive of many dietary preferences.
Here’s a sampler of what you’ll find:
-
Àçaí & smoothie bowls brimming with seasonal fruit, superfood add-ons, and crunchy granola
-
All-day breakfast staples: think avocado toast, egg sandwiches, croissant breakfast sandwiches
-
Wraps, bowls & salads loaded with greens, grains, proteins (like salmon or tuna), global flavors
-
Cold-pressed juices & superfood smoothies
-
Coffees, lattes & specialty drinks
-
Fresh pastries & baked goods
-
Gluten‑free, dairy‑free, vegetarian, and vegan options are sprinkled throughout the menu.
Some signature items already getting buzz include the Toasted Chicken wrap (a favorite) and loads of seasonal lattes and “shots” like immunity blends.
The Story Behind the Brand
Pura Vida started in 2012, founded by Omer and Jennifer Horev in South Florida. What began as a passion for fresh, whole-food fare has grown into a wellness-driven café brand with a devoted following.
As they expanded, Pura Vida pledged not just to serve healthy food, but to build community, engage in sustainable practices, and cultivate a space that uplifts. Naples joins a growing list of cities embracing that vision.
What This Means for Mercato & the Naples Food Scene
Pura Vida is part of a wave of new energy at Mercato. In 2025, the center is undergoing updates to its courtyard (the Piazza), expanding walkways, seating, lighting, and embracing more mixed-use and dining activations.
Other upcoming food & beverage names to watch: Shake Shack is slated to open before year-end at Mercato, and juice-forward kiosks like Pure Green are rumored to join the lineup
By adding Pura Vida, Mercato isn’t just enriching its dining roster, it’s signaling a shift toward wellness, lifestyle, and spaces where people want to hang (not just eat).
What to Try (and When)
If you’re heading over soon, here’s how to make the most of it:
-
Morning arrival: Grab a smoothie bowl or avocado toast and settle in by a sunlit window
-
Brunch hour: Try one of the signature bowls or wraps- especially if you want a protein boost
-
Afternoon pick-me-up: A cold-pressed juice or a specialty latte paired with a pastry
-
Bring a friend: The space is built for conversation and connection
Mercato just added a bright, health-forward gem- and we’re thrilled it’s here. Whether you’re a longtime wellness eater or just curious about something new, Pura Vida in Naples is worth putting on your roster.
