Disco Bean Coffee Brings Great Coffee, Vinyl DJs, and Groovy Vibes to Bonita Springs

Bonita Springs is about to get a whole lot groovier.

This weekend, Disco Bean Coffee quietly opens its doors for a soft opening, with a full‑blown grand opening set for December 29, bringing together craft coffee, vinyl records, and a late‑night lounge vibe unlike anything else currently in town.

Founded by longtime DJ and former café owner Pat, Disco Bean is more than just a coffee shop. It’s the culmination of decades spent in music, years in hospitality, and months of hands‑on work sourcing coffee, collecting records, and building a space designed to be experienced – not just visited.

A  Coffee Shop With a Soundtrack

The moment you walk into Disco Bean, it’s clear this isn’t your typical café. You are immediately greeted by a wall covered in vintage speakers, cassette players, radios and more,  all personally collected by Pat over the last seven months.

“I’ve been a DJ for 27 years – in Naples and on the radio,” Pat shared. “After my Cafe closed, A friend said, ‘Why don’t you open a coffee shop and sell records?’ And I just took it and ran with it.”

That idea quickly evolved into a space that blends retro and modern, welcoming both longtime vinyl lovers and a younger generation rediscovering analog sound. On Friday and Saturday nights, Disco Bean transforms into an intimate lounge, staying open until midnight with vinyl‑only DJs, dim color‑changing lights, and a speakeasy‑style atmosphere.

Every piece of this project has been perfectly curated by Pat, from the beans sourced from Columbia, to the 578 45s that cover the photo-worthy bathroom from floor to ceiling.

Coffee, Sourced With Purpose

Disco Bean’s coffee program is just as intentional as its design. Pat traveled to Colombia multiple times, visiting farms and meeting with producers before deciding exactly where her beans would come from.

Her coffee consultant, Juan, helped guide her every step of the way. Disco Bean sources beans grown in the mountains of Pereira, roasted in Medellín, and shipped directly to Southwest Florida. The coffee is grown and roasted by the same people – something Juan says is rare to find locally.

“Our focus isn’t to make coffee complicated, we just focus on quality.” Juan explained. “We want it to taste like coffee. It should be approachable.”

The menu features medium and dark roasts, playful drink names inspired by music culture, all made with quality equipment to ensure consistency. For those who want to learn more, Pat and team are happy to share knowledge – but there’s no pressure to be a coffee expert.

Disco Bean will also offer ceremonial‑grade Japanese matcha sourced through tea specialists who travel the world in the same way Juan does for coffee, along with thoughtfully selected loose‑leaf teas bagged for efficiency without sacrificing quality.

No Kitchen – Just Community

After years of running a full café in South Naples, Pat knew exactly what she didn’t want this time around: a kitchen.

Instead, Disco Bean is built on local partnerships.

Donuts come from Trackside, including donut ice‑cream sandwiches. Grab‑and‑go wraps and sandwiches are sourced from The Narrative. Ice cream will include tropical flavors like mango and nods to Pat’s roots with Cuban‑style milkshakes.

The drink menu extends beyond coffee with beer, wine, champagne, and local IPAs from Ankrolab Brewing in Naples. Shoppers can also pick up Disco Bean’s coffee beans, ground fresh in‑house if needed, along with products from other local brands like her friend’s at Badass Jerky and Green Bites.

“I don’t look at it as competition. I even told Narrative to put their label on their sandwhiches.” Pat said. “There’s enough people in this city. Let’s support each other.”

A Space That Fits Bonita Springs

Pat chose Bonita Springs intentionally. With downtown just minutes away, a growing creative scene, and a community that embraces collaboration, Disco Bean feels perfectly timed.

Bonita’s older residents connect with the retro design, while younger crowds are drawn to vinyl culture and late‑night coffee vibes. It’s a place that works just as well for a morning latte as it does for a Friday night hang.

The shop also includes a private green room available to rent by the hour or day — ideal for podcasting, meetings, or content creation.
