South Seas Island Resort is raising the bar for family-friendly fun on Captiva Island with the debut of Captiva Landing, a brand-new, five-acre waterpark experience scheduled to open December 22, 2025. Designed for resort guests and Club Captiva members, Captiva Landing brings slides, lazy rivers, dining, and relaxing pool zones together in one tropical setting.

Captiva Landing is South Seas’ largest recreational development to date, offering a mix of excitement and island-inspired tranquility. Unlike traditional waterparks, Captiva Landing is woven into a lush wildlife preserve, giving guests a blend of natural beauty and resort-style fun.

The development includes multiple themed areas designed for different ages and interests.

The Zones Inside Captiva Landing

Bottlenose Bay

The action-packed center of Captiva Landing, featuring:

  • Six water slides

  • Tipping buckets

  • Water cannons

  • Interactive splash features

The Cove

A tranquil pool environment designed for lounging, shaded comfort, and quieter family time.

Gulfstream Lazy River

A relaxing float experience through landscaped paths and gentle currents—ideal for guests who prefer slower-paced recreation.

Flippers

A convenient onsite eatery serving poolside staples including burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, wraps, and soft-serve.

The Arcade

An indoor gaming zone complete with classic arcade games and pinball machines.

Camp-tiva Kids Club

A nature-driven program inspired by the resort’s 330-acre wildlife preserve, offering supervised activities for younger children.

Why Captiva Landing Matters for SWFL Tourism

The opening of Captiva Landing marks a significant milestone for South Seas as it continues enhancing amenities and rebuilding momentum. For visitors, it elevates Captiva Island into an even stronger family vacation destination. For residents and Southwest Florida travelers, it represents another step forward in revitalizing the region’s tourism offerings.

Potential Access and Day Passes

Captiva Landing is currently designated for:

  • South Seas resort guests

  • Club Captiva members

Previously, South Seas offered $25 amenity day passes, which allowed non-guests limited access to select facilities. While the resort has not confirmed if Captiva Landing will adopt a similar program, it is reasonable to expect that some type of paid public day pass may be introduced after opening. Guests should check with South Seas for updated access and pricing information closer to the launch.

Opening Date

December 22, 2025

The grand opening aligns with Captiva’s busy holiday season, making it one of the most anticipated resort additions in Southwest Florida.
