If you’ve spent any time exploring Downtown Bonita Springs’s dining and nightlife scene, chances are you’ve heard about- or experienced- Ceremony Brewing. Known for its emo energy, creative brews, and effortlessly cool atmosphere, Ceremony has quickly become one of the area’s favorite gathering spots.
But big news just dropped: Ceremony Brewing will be closing for the month of November to undergo renovations and renovate their property for an even better guest experience.
That means now – the rest of October – is your chance to stop in, show some love, and help them head into their renovation month strong.

How Ceremony Brewing Brought Nightlife to Downtown Bonita
When Zach Smith opened Ceremony Brewing in downtown Bonita Springs at the end of 2021, he helped spark the city’s growing nightlife scene. What began as a laid-back spot for great beer has evolved into a community hub known for its themed events and creative energy.
From Emo Nights and Dad-Rock parties to an Emo Prom–themed New Year’s Eve, Zach’s love for metal and alternative music has shaped Ceremony’s identity. Beyond the taproom, he’s collaborated with other local businesses to host major community events like the bi-annual Halloween and Holiday Bus Crawls and family trick-or-treating along Old 41 — all designed to bring people (and families) together.
Recently, Zach took over the unit next to him and added some additional indoor space to the brewery. It feels like your friend’s basement, complete with pool tables, a Nintendo Switch, and even skeeball. Shortly after the indoor renovation was complete, he received his liquor license and launched a full cocktail list. Now, Zach is preparing for Ceremony’s next chapter.
The Next Chapter for Ceremony Brewing
After four years of growth, Zach and his landlord have worked together to come up with a plan to renovate the entire property.
The site plans include:
- A new, huge, paved front patio
- A full renovation of the existing commercial space in front of Ceremony Brewing, which used to be home to Smokin’ Rs and The Motherload.
- New neighbors in said commercial space
- The dirt road that runs to the left of the commercial space, leading to Ceremony’s turf patio, will be paved
- Additional parking will be added at the end of the paved road
- Expansion of the turf patio
How You Can Support Ceremony Brewing’s Renovation
For small, independently owned businesses like Ceremony Brewing, even a short closure can be challenging. That’s why the next couple of weeks are so important. Every visit, every drink, and every bite ordered this month helps them bridge that gap and return stronger when they reopen.
The Perfect Time to Show Support: Nightmare on Old 41 Bus Crawl This Saturday
Looking for a fun way to support Ceremony before they close for renovations? You’re in luck – the Third Annual Nightmare on Old 41 Trolley Bus Crawl is happening this Saturday. This free bus crawl stops at multiple downtown businesses and is organized each year by Ceremony’s very own Zach Smith.
Check out the event page for more details.
We are excited for Ceremony Brewing’s next chapter, and we can’t wait to support them this Saturday!
