The rainy season is quickly approaching! Though our grass and gardens are eager for some precipitation, we may need some adjusting! After some wonderful winter weather, we will soon be experiencing some rainy day in SWFL that make it tough to enjoy all of the outdoor activities the area has to offer! Luckily, there are plenty of indoor activities in SWFL to get us through the rainy season!
1. Test Your Luck (or Skills) With Some Indoor Games
There are so many indoor gaming facilities for all ages across SWFL! Dave & Busters & Gametime in Fort Myers offer a perfect place to escape the rain where you can eat, drink & play a variety of games. The new Sports Challenge America in Bonita Springs offers a similar environment with a fun option to raise the stakes. The sports complex features indoor bowling and simulator rooms where visitors can play for fun or bet on their own abilities to win some serious cash prizes! If a golf simulator is not enough, head to Top Golf in Fort Myers to swing some irons outdoors while staying dry in a covered bay. If some old-fashioned bowling is more up your alley, head to Bowland Beacon in Naples or Heapinz Fort Myers.
2. See A Live Performance
SWFL is full of fantastic venues where you can sit back, relax, and be wowed by local and traveling talents! In Fort Myers, Barbara B Mann hosts musical, theatrical, and comedic talents across a variety of genres. Arts Bonita is a smaller venue with some big acts. From blues to Broadway, this venue has something for everyone. In Naples, Artis-Naples hosts the Naples Phillaharmic along with other musical performances throughout the year and the Gulfshore Play House has a schedule of productions sure to excite anyone with a love of the performing arts. If you’re looking for dinner and a show, check out The Broadway Palms Dinner Theater in Fort Myers or The Stage in Bonita Springs!
3. Try Some Local Brews
The brewery business is booming in SWFL! Trying some local brews can be a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon. In Fort Myers, you can enjoy a cold one at Fort Myers Brewing Company, Millenial Brewing, Point Ybel Brewing Company, Coastal Days Brewing or Palm City Brewing Company. In Bonita, you can visit Ceremony Brewing, Riptide Brewing Company, Hopsized Brewing Company, and soon, Chubby Mermaid Brewing Co. In Naples, you can check out Riptide Brewing Company’s southernmost location, Ankrolab Brewing Company, or Bonehook Brewing Company.
4. Go Rockclimbing
Yup, you read that right! Fort Rock Climbing Center offers day passes and membership options for anyone over the age of 14 to rock climb right here in SWFL. The facility features over 5,000 square feet of climbing walls with 12 lanes varying in difficulty. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-timer, Fort Rock is a great way to spend a rainy day in SWFL.
5. Shoot Your Shot at An Indoor Gun Range
Shoot Straight Fort Myers and The Alamo in Naples offer indoor settings where visitors can bring their own weapons or rent gear to try their hand at shooting! If it is your first time or if you would like to expand your knowledge of firearms, both locations offer training courses!

Bounce The Energy Out at a Trampoline Park
Defy and Skyzone trampoline parks are a fun-for-all-ages way to get some energy out on a rainy day in SWFL! Both facilities have huge trampolines, foam pits, and other activities that are sure to tire you and your little ones!
Visit a Children’s Museum
A children’s museum is a great way to spend a day learning new things and having fun with your littles. IMAG Fort Myers and CMON Naples offer a safe, educational and super-fun environment for children to learn about everything from space to insects while having a great time!
