New in The Neighborhood: The Causeway Food Hall Opens in Bonita Springs

  • Reading time:3 mins read

An exciting new addition to Bonita Springs launched December 7th. The Causeway is an innovative food hall and bar concept that truly has something for everyone. After years of hard work and successfully navigating obstacles, partners Ken Delaney, Randy Decker and Janak Amin, along with Chef Carl Smith and his wife, Carol, opened their doors on Old 41 across from the former dog track.

The Causeway food hall brings an entirely new dining experience to Southwest Florida. This massive space features a bar,  four separate restaurant concepts and a self-serve tap wall.

If you are looking for something light, Roast is a deli concept that serves salads, sandwiches and charcuterie boards. If you are in the mood for some home-cooked Italian favorites, Orzo has you covered. If you are not quite sure just what you want, head over to Smithy’s, an international kitchen with everything from curry to shepard’s pie. Top off your meal with a visit to the Dessert Lab for milkshakes, cookies, cupcakes and more!

The self-serve tap wall is a fun way to find your new favorite beer. It features 20 local taps where guests can pay by the ounce with the swipe of a wristband.

Smith describes this new dining concept at “fast casual.” Unlike other food halls, the Causeway still offers table service, with space for 150 guests inside and 150 more outside. Visitors come in, sit down and get a menu with options from the three different restaurants. Orders from each restaurant, the Dessert Lab and pours from the tap wall are conveniently added to each guests tab.

The Causeway is currently open from 11 AM to 11 PM daily 28280 Old 41 Road. Stop on in, grab a bite and give them a warm welcome to the neighborhood this weekend!

We are very happy Bonita Springs has a new dining option and we tried The Causeway last night and had a great experience. It was the first night so things were still developing but the food / drinks /staff and atmosphere was really nice and we had a good time . Got several cupcakes to take home as it was my birthday and they were the best I’ve had! We will be back soon. Peter
