Kim-Chi Grill opened at the end of 2022 in the Center of Bonita Springs Plaza, a few doors down from Petar’s Restaurant. The owners James & Satika used to own the Tubby Pig in Estero before it was destroyed by Hurricane Irma. Both of their Thai heritage, coupled with James’s impressive restaurant background lead them to create this new Asian-fusion restaurant.

The Kim-Chi grill mixes the best of Thai, Korean, and Chinese cuisine for a diverse and delicious menu. From dumplings to bulgogi bowls to classic Chinese dishes like General Tso’s, there is something for everyone on this menu- even our one-year-old daughter loved it!

Everything in this kitchen is made from scratch, without MSG. Every batter, sauce, and marinade is made in-house. It takes a lot more care and time, but we assure you that it makes a BIG difference. Everything tastes exceptionally fresh.

We decided to try their fantastic summer special which includes one appetizer, one entree, a dessert, and a glass of wine, beer or soft drink for only $21.95 per person! We started with some spicey edamame and fried gyoza and added some spring rolls. The spicy edamame was covered in super-yummy sweet and spicy chili sauce. Both the gyoza and spring rolls were nice and crispy on the inside with fresh, delicious fillings inside.

For entrees, we tried the General Tso’s chicken and chicken bulgogi bowl. The chicken is marinated, hand-battered, and fried to a crispy golden brown. It is then tossed with broccoli in a sweet and sticky sauce with just the right amount of kick.

The chicken bulgogi bowl starts with a base of fluffy jasmine rice. It is topped with a seaweed salad, marinated chili cucumbers, grilled chicken in Korean BBQ sauce, a poached egg, and, of course, house-made kimchi. Everything was fantastic! The chicken was so tender and trimmed well- not one piece of fat! The salads were all crunchy, fresh, and paired perfectly in the bowl.

Desert was a few house-made crispy donut bites served with cashew icing for dipping. The perfect sweet little treat to end a great meal!

If you haven’t tried Kim-Chi Grill yet, the summer special is the perfect time to try a few different menu items for only $21.95! The special runs from 4-6 PM every day. For more summer specials, check out our Summer Special Guide!
