Starting Monday, September 14th, SWFL bars, and breweries will be allowed to reopen. Restrictions are in place to keep capacity at 50% or less in order to abide by CDC guidelines.

This news comes nearly three months after bars and breweries across the state were forced to close their doors on June 26th. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation announced on Thursday night that Florida bars would be allowed to reopen at 50% capacity on Monday. However, some counties, including Palm Beach County and Miami-Dade have elected to keep the orders in place. Luckily for SWFL locals, both Collier and Lee have decided to reopen bars and breweries, as long as they abide by the guidelines put in place by the CDC.
Though bar-owners are able to decide how to enforce safety guidelines, most will abide by the same rules. Customers will be able to sit at the bar, but social distancing will be enforced between parties. Tables will also be spaced apart, giving customers a 6-foot buffer from other guests. Many bars will also be taking advanced security measures to keep en accurate headcount in order to maintain a 50% capacity.
