SWFL Median Sale Price Climbs 18% Since 2014

It’s no surprise to anyone that Southwest Florida is growing rapidly.

With this growth, comes an increase in demand for housing. And with any increase in demand, comes an increase in prices. 

In 2014, the median home price across Southwest Florida was $235,000. Since 2014, the median home price has increased over 18%, to $285,000. This data was taken from Bonita Springs, Naples, Fort Myers and Estero.

As you can see from the above graph, the majority of this increase took place between 2014 and 2015. However, since 2015, median sale prices have climbed a steady 3% per year.

Here’s a break down of this graph by city:

Bonita Springs:

Median sale price has increased 15% since 2014.

  • 2014 median: $255,000
  • 2018 median: $300,000

Naples:

Median sale price has increased over 21% since 2014.

  • 2014 median: $270,000
  • 2018 median: $343,000

Estero:

Median sale price has increased 3% since 2014.

  • 2014 median: $283,000
  • 2018 median: $290,000

Fort Myers:

Median sale price has increased over 17% since 2014.

  • 2014 median: $186,000
  • 2018 median: $225,000
