The former Perkins in Bonita Springs has been sitting vacant at the corner of Bonita Beach Road and US 41 since May 2020. The highly-sought-after lot finally sold in April for $3,089,500 to Gordon and Nancy Stojkoski.

Gordon and Nancy own Aqua Steak and Seafood on 5th Avenue in Naples and have big plans to open their second location where the former Perkins in Bonita Springs operated for the past 25 years. The property is currently undergoing a major renovation to transform it from a cozy diner to an upscale bar and restaurant! Over the summer, the new owners replaced the shingle roof with a beautiful new copper one. There are also plans underway to add a huge 100-person, paved patio with an indoor/outdoor bar, a 4,000-bottle wine vault, and a small stage for entertainment.

Aqua Steak and Seafood launched on 5th Avenue in 2011 and quickly earned its keep along the prestigious strip. The restaurant has become well known for its generous happy hour that runs 4-7 PM, seven days a week! Aqua is also known for its table-side whole-fish dinners, raw bar, and nightly entertainment. The owners plan on mirroring the same happy hour, dinner, and entertainment offerings at their new Bonita Springs Location.

Aqua Bonita Springs has plans to open by the end of October, as long as permitting goes according to plan!

This exciting addition, on one of the area’s most prime pieces of real estate, symbolizes the trajectory that this small town is on. Bonita Springs has seen tremendous growth over the past five years and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. So many new businesses have moved to the area since the city invested in revitalizing the downtown area. Even more big projects are still underway in Bonita Springs, including the Rooftop at Riverside and the Banyan Square redevelopment.
