Somehow, after all the dinners we’ve enjoyed around Southwest Florida, my husband and I had never been to Ted’s Montana Grill at Coconut Point. We finally changed that for our 7th wedding anniversary, and by the end of the night, we were already talking about coming back.
The evening started with such a thoughtful surprise: beautiful roses and a card to celebrate our anniversary. It made us feel special before we even opened the menu.
Cocktails with a cause
We started with the Bruised Tito’s Martini and the Spicy Margarita. Both were great, and the martini came with one of Ted’s delicious house-made pickles.
Even better, these featured cocktails supported Giving Kitchen, which provides financial assistance to food service workers in need. It was lovely to know our orders contributed to something meaningful.

My first bison ribeye-and definitely not my last
We shared the bison nachos to start, then ordered George’s Classic Cadillac Burger with French fries and the bison ribeye with carrots and onion rings.

The ribeye was the highlight for me. This was my first time trying a bison ribeye, and as someone who loves a tender, juicy steak, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It absolutely delivered. Every bite was tender and full of flavor, and it was honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while.

I also love that Ted’s doesn’t use freezers or microwaves. Everything we tried tasted so fresh, and that attention to the food made an impression.
Save room for the apple pecan crisp
We finished the evening with the seasonal apple pecan crisp topped with vanilla ice cream, and it was fantastic. Even after nachos and dinner, this was worth saving room for.
Between the food and the sweet anniversary surprise, I couldn’t believe we had waited so long to visit. Our first dinner at Ted’s Montana Grill certainly won’t be our last.
Help Ted’s Montana Grill celebrate a deserving family
Ted’s is also inviting the community to help spread some kindness this holiday season.
The restaurant is giving a special holiday dinner to families who have experienced hardships or shown exceptional kindness and generosity toward others. If someone comes to mind, this is a thoughtful opportunity to recognize them.
Community members can submit nominations by emailing bigskyspirit@tedsmontanagrill.com by November 11.
Ted’s Montana Grill is located at Coconut Point in Estero. If you go, let me know what you order! I already know I’ll have a hard time passing up that bison ribeye on our next visit!
