On Wednesday, August 24, developers broke ground on The Cove at 47th in southeast Cape Coral. The upscale, mixed-use project is expected to bring a new, youthful vibe to Downtown Cape Coral.

The Cove at 47th will be constructed on the roughly 4-acre, vacant parcel on the northwest corner of SE 9th Place and Cape Coral Parkway E. The development will consist of 327 luxury apartment units, 19,000 square feet of dining, retail and office space, and a nearly 600-space parking garage.

The goal for developers and city officials is to create a more entertaining, walkable downtown. This will, in-turn, invite more young professionals to live, work and play in Cape Coral. It’s also great news for current residents, who would otherwise have to travel to Downtown Fort Myers for nightlife and a variety of dining options.

In addition to numerous food, drink and nightlife options all open to the public, The Cove will feature an array of luxurious amenities for residents. The amenities will include heated saltwater pools, concierge service, a rooftop deck and a fitness center.

Apartment units will range from studios to 3-bedrooms, with prices starting around $1,300 per month.

The Cove at 47th has an expected completion date of September, 2024.
