After first breaking ground in 2024, Resurgence Brewing Company & Central Rock Gym have officially opened their doors in South Fort Myers.

Located at 6160 Exchange Lane, near the intersection of Michael G. Rippe Parkway and Six Mile Cypress Parkway, the long-awaited project combines craft beer, dining, and indoor rock climbing into one destination. The concept brings together Buffalo-based Resurgence Brewing Company and the popular climbing chain Central Rock Gym, creating a unique space for both fitness and socializing in Southwest Florida.

The new facility includes a full-service brewery and restaurant alongside a large indoor climbing gym. Visitors can grab a drink or meal, relax in the outdoor beer garden, or tackle the climbing walls –  all in one location.

Resurgence Brewing Company

Buffalo, New York–based Resurgence Brewing Company is known for its community-focused taprooms and craft beer lineup. The Fort Myers location marks the brewery’s first expansion outside of New York.

The new brewpub features a full-service taproom, restaurant, and a covered outdoor beer garden. Guests can expect many of the brewery’s well-known beers along with a menu inspired by Buffalo favorites like chicken wings and beef on weck, alongside dishes with a Southwest Florida twist.

The space was designed to create a relaxed gathering place where locals and visitors can enjoy craft beer, food, and events.

Central Rock Gym

Sharing the space is Central Rock Gym, one of the largest indoor climbing gym operators in the country. The Fort Myers location is the company’s largest gym in Florida, featuring more than 20,000 square feet of climbing terrain.

The facility includes:

• 45-foot lead and top-rope climbing walls
• More than 5,000 square feet of bouldering terrain
• A kilter board and training areas
• Fitness and yoga classes
• Weekly route rotations designed for climbers of all experience levels

Central Rock Gym operates dozens of climbing gyms across the United States and aims to build a strong climbing community through programs, events, and youth activities.

A New Kind of Hangout in Fort Myers

The combination of a brewery, restaurant, and climbing gym makes the venue one of the more unique entertainment concepts to open in Southwest Florida. The idea is to create a space where people can stay active and socialize in the same place.

With its opening now complete, Resurgence Brewing Company & Central Rock Gym adds a new destination for craft beer lovers, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone looking for something different to do in Fort Myers.
