Bowling, pickleball, mini golf and a new place for dinner with the family are still on the way to Estero—but the opening timeline has changed.
High 5 Entertainment, the anchor attraction in Estero’s developing entertainment district, is now expected to open in early 2027. Meanwhile, work continues on the surrounding SportsPark, with additional athletic fields, gathering spaces and supporting improvements advancing through the Village’s plans.
For anyone who has been following the project since its groundbreaking, here is where things stand.
When Will High 5 Open in Estero?
Earlier announcements pointed to a fall 2026 opening. However, an August 6 capital project update published in Estero Life Magazine’s Village Connection column identified early 2027 as the expected opening window.
That follows High 5 President Scott Emley’s June 17 presentation to Estero Village Council. According to the Village’s meeting recap, the company anticipates soft openings in February 2027, followed by a grand opening in late February or early March.
Those dates remain projected. A specific grand-opening day has not been confirmed in the updates reviewed for this article.
Where Is the Estero Entertainment District?
The entertainment campus is taking shape on the north side of Williams Road, east of Via Coconut Point, near Estero High School.
High 5 is the first of several family entertainment concepts envisioned for the area. It is part of the larger Village Center Hub effort, which brings together recreation, entertainment and community gathering spaces.

What Is Coming to High 5?
The planned attraction mix includes:
- 21 pickleball courts: Six indoors and 15 outdoors.
- 36 holes of miniature golf: Two 18-hole courses.
- Bowling and an arcade.
- Indoor and outdoor dining, with a full-service kitchen and bar.
- Party and conference rooms for celebrations and group events.
The June company update also outlined pickleball programming led by director Pete Dellaluna, a pro shop, and neon-lit court experiences for special events.
High 5 plans to welcome the public while also offering memberships, including options focused on bowling and pickleball. A separate benefits program for Estero residents is planned, although the reporting reviewed does not provide pricing or final benefit details.
One change from some earlier attraction lists: Emley said axe throwing is not currently planned for the Estero location.

What Is Happening With the Surrounding SportsPark?
High 5 has its own opening schedule, while the surrounding public recreation improvements are moving forward in phases.
The August Village Connection update described SportsPark Phase 1 as including an entrance road, stormwater pond and two grass fields, with overall completion anticipated by the end of 2026.
The Village’s September 23 Council recap also outlines Phase 2 improvements, including:
- Two full-size synthetic multipurpose athletic fields, with configurations that could accommodate up to four baseball or softball fields.
- An event lawn and open spaces.
- Walking paths.
- Two restroom buildings and a pavilion.
- A maintenance facility, roadway extension, parking and infrastructure improvements.
Phase 2 remained part of the Village’s financing discussions at the October 7 Council meeting. These improvements should be understood as a phased build-out; High 5’s projected opening does not mean every planned park amenity will open simultaneously.
What to Watch for Next
The next announcements to watch are High 5’s confirmed opening dates, activity pricing, membership options and details of its Estero resident benefits.
For families planning a birthday party, friends looking for a new pickleball spot or anyone ready for another local night-out option, the project remains one to follow as construction progresses.
