Rooftop at Riverside is Officially Open and Better Than We Ever Imagined

  • Reading time:7 mins read

After years of hard work and resilience, Rooftop at Riverside is officially open for business. This beautifully designed, two-story bar and food truck park truly has something for everyone. We stopped by on opening night and had the best time! Here is what you need to know about this awesome new addition to Downtown Bonita Springs.

The Courtyard at Rooftop at Riverside

The courtyard is surrounded by six different food trucks with great menus- but we will get to that later! The paved, fenced-in area is the perfect spot to sit down at a picnic bench to enjoy your food and drinks. We were so pleased to find a turf play area for kids (unpictured to protect the children’s privacy) and a free put-put course! Our two-year-old daughter had such a great time and so did we. We have been searching for a spot where we can grab a bite to eat while our daughter could have some fun and we have finally found it.

The Bar of Rooftop at Riverside

This new destination in Downtown Bonita Springs features two bars with plenty of TVs to stream your favorite game. Both bars serve bottled and draft beers, wine, and liquor. Chris Magnus, co-developer of Rooftop at Riverside, hired Phil Wills from Bar Rescue to train the bartenders on how to be efficient and craft some perfect cocktails. Even on opening night, with a full house, they did a fantastic job. They were timely, yet still took the time to make each cocktail as perfect as the last.

This is a beautiful facility and I’m looking forward to it.
However, where is everyone supposed to park?

    1. JohnPaul & Brianna

Hi Debbie! The city just added about 20 new spots in a newly paved lot across from the library! There is also a lot of parking across the street at riverside park, and a huge dirt lot with parking next to Benson’s Grocery!

20 spots???? Ummmm….ok. Downtown Bonita will thrive!! These places are setup to fail with 20 additional spots…once again City Council has failed the people.

    1. JohnPaul & Brianna

We think it is a step in the right direction, and we would rather see just 20 spots on that specific property because of it’s history and significance to the Downtown!

We moved to Bonita Springs 20 years ago. As dumpy as downtown was back in the $21 hooker days, I could see the potential for a vibrant, quaint revitalization of Old 41. Glad I lived to see it’s new beginnings!

Looks amazing. Can’t wait to see it!

20 is better than nothing! Sounds like it will be a great place to visit!

Welcome to Historic Downtown Bonita! Very much excited about your opening. Just an FYI in addition to the 20 spots the downtown area has over 600 parking spots.

Great pics! Thank you for this update! Looking forward to checking it out soon 💞 Love the advancement for our little Bonita town.

Is there handicap parking and an elevator? I’d love to go, but need to know this!l

    1. JohnPaul & Brianna

Hi Gayle! There are a few Handicapped parking spots around town. The closest would probably be behind Engels Bike Shop in Riverside Park! There is an Elevator as well.
