The Naples Beach Hotel and Gulf Club opened in 1940 and remained a landmark in Naples for over 70 years. The Athens Group purchased the 125-acre property in 2021 and commenced demolition shortly after.
The new “Naples Beach Club” has presented a new preliminary design plan for the site. This new design concept adds three buildings to the original plan for the new Four Seasons hotel that was approved in 2021. The first building would be a six-story mixed-use structure with condos and retail. The middle building is proposed to be a three-story commercial structure. The southernmost building would be a two-story clubhouse. This change to the original plan would also eliminate some features like the family barn and treehouse in order to include more open green space.
The Naples City Council unanimously approved the preliminary hearing of the Naples Beach Club’s plans. Now, developers must bring the new design concept to the Naples Planning Advisory Board. This project is still in the very early stages, but you can count on us to keep you up to date as developers fight to push forward.
