Marketplace at Coconut Point Approved by Estero Board

The Village of Estero’s planning and zoning board has approved a mixed-use commercial development known as Marketplace at Coconut Point. This project is set to move forward on the 10-acre parcel at 8001 Via Rapallo Drive.

Details of this plaza are still underway, but the site is entitled to 90,000 square feet of retail space and 20,000 square feet of office space according to Estero zoning laws. Miller’s Ale House and McDonald’s have signed leases with the developer. Another lease is pending with a “National Coffee” shop. We suspect it may be Starbucks after the company closed its Coconut Point location earlier this year! The developer, Konover South, also has plans for a national Grocer to anchor the plaza, though a lease has yet to be signed.
