A strip of longtime restaurants on 5th Avenue South will be demolished by the end of this week. The demolition is part of a massive redevelopment project on the historic Naples street.
The 3 restaurants currently occupying the space are Bellini Restaurant and Bar, Citrus Seafood and Paddy Murphy’s Irish Pub.
The existing one-story building will be replaced with a 15,000+ square foot, 2-story building. The first floor will be roughly 8,000 square feet with another 1,750 square feet of patio space, and will be home to 2 restaurants. The top floor will contain about 7,000 square feet of office space.
While nothing is confirmed, the project manager says that the owners of Bellini and Paddy’s Pub would like to return once the new building is complete.
Completion is expected by August of 2021, and the restaurants should be open in time for the 2022 season.
