Bonita Beach Balloon Bar & Grill is just about done setting up shop in the building that used to be Fitzgerald’s Irish Pub. The owners hope to bring a “Cheers”-style, neighborhood-friendly bar to Bonita Springs.
After all of the damage caused by Hurricane Irma, Fitszgerald’s went up for sale. The current owners, James and Linda Werkheiser, bought the building and land for $1.25 million. That’s where the real work began.
Since the sale on April 24 of 2018, the new owners have obtained four separate building permits. One of these was for a new roof on the restaurant, while the other three permits were used for remodeling work. Practically the whole building has been remodeled due the the excessive hurricane damage.
Now that the hard part is almost done, it’s time for a Grand Opening! The Bonita Beach Balloon Bar and Grill Grand Opening is scheduled for October 15th, 2018. You can stop by at any point during the day.
The owners have not revealed any menu items to the public, so we’ll see you at the Grand Opening to find out!
Hooray to James and Linda Werkheiser, for taking on this Giant Undertaking. Looking forward to see what their Menu will be like.
We can’t wait to see the menu either, Bill!
Thanks for subscribing to our blog, by the way!
