The Outrigger Beach Resort and Charley’s Boathouse Grill were well-loved landmarks on Fort Myers Beach. We have some great memories of listening to live music and watching the sunset with a cocktail at Outrigger. We were devasted by what Hurricane Ian did to these landmarks and the surrounding area. A year later, Londo Bay has unveiled its vision for the future of this property.
Fort Myers Beach Hotel & Residences
In a presentation to Fort Myers City Council on January 31st, London Bay unveiled plans for Fort Myers Beach Hotel & Residences. The local builder described their vision as “A boutique Old Florida lifestyle hotel, with residences, that is made for visitors & locals. It will cater to its neighbors & embraces visitors.” This proposed development would include a 100-room hotel, a 50-room condo hotel, a condo building with 46 residences, and a long list of amenities for the public to enjoy. The residences are set to be no higher than 15 stories over podium and the hotel would be no higher than 9 stories over podium.
