After more than seven decades shaping the character of Old Naples, the iconic Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club closed its doors in 2021. Its final season wasn’t an ending born of decline, but a thoughtful transition initiated by the longtime owners — the Watkins family — who passed the torch so the 125-acre property could be reimagined for a new generation.
The vision was bold: transform the beloved beach hotel into a world-class coastal reort, blending luxury, walkability, open green space, and a deeper connection to the Gulf. Today, that vision is coming to life as Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, officially opens.

A Respectful Rebirth of a Naples Landmark
The redevelopment was never about erasing history. Instead, it set out to preserve the heart of the old resort while elevating its potential. The Naples Beach Club now features 220 guest rooms, including 57 suites, designed with a timeless coastal aesthetic. Soft colors, natural textures, and relaxed elegance echo the beach hotel’s legacy while embracing the sophistication of modern Naples.
At the center of the new property is Market Square, intended as a lively hub not just for visitors but for locals who have spent years walking, dining, and gathering on this very stretch of Gulf coastline. Rather than becoming an isolated luxury enclave, the new resort was intentionally designed with community in mind.

Elevated Dining With Familiar Roots
The Naples Beach Club brings five distinct dining experiences to life, each offering its own take on coastal cuisine.
-
HB’s, a treasured name in local history, returns in refreshed form with its classic Gulf views.
-
Sunset Bar leans into vibrant, Latin-inspired flavors served with a front-row seat to the evening sky.
-
The Merchant Room, guided by an acclaimed chef, blends global influence with modern American style in a polished, brasserie-like setting.
Together, these venues honor what Naples diners have always loved while offering a new level of culinary adventure.

A Sanctuary for Wellness, Relaxation & Play
Wellness is woven throughout the resort. The Sanctuary Spa, a serene, two-level retreat, features thermal experiences, vitality pools, saunas, and treatment rooms designed for full-body restoration. A rooftop lap pool offers peaceful views across the green, giving wellness-seekers a quiet place to unwind.
The resort also introduces:
-
Private beach cabanas
-
Paddleboarding and coastal excursions
-
Sunset cruises aboard a classic Hinckley boat
-
Six Har-Tru tennis courts at the new Racquet Club
It’s all crafted to embody the refined-but-relaxed spirit Naples is known for.
Designed for the Future, Rooted in Preservation
One of the most significant parts of the redevelopment is its commitment to open space. A historic conservation easement protects the majority of the former golf course land, ensuring it remains green, accessible, and preserved for recreation. It’s a powerful statement that luxury and land stewardship can go hand in hand.
And the future still has more in store. The resort’s next phase will introduce additional amenities, including entertainment spaces, family activity zones, and a redesigned 18-hole golf course.

Luxury Living, Naples-Style
The Naples Beach Club community also includes 153 Four Seasons–serviced residences – some beachfront, some along the golf-side landscape. These homes offer residents all the hallmarks of Four Seasons living without losing the easy, breezy essence of Naples’ coastal lifestyle.

A Beacon for Naples’ Next Chapter
The opening of Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, represents a turning point – not just for the property, but for Naples itself. It’s a redevelopment that honors memory, respects the land, and sets a new standard for Gulf-front living.
Instead of replacing what Naples loved, the project amplifies it. The result is a place where lifelong locals, longtime visitors, and new guests can all find something familiar, and something beautifully new.
